Director
Writer/director Domini (she/her) believes in the power of storytelling to not only reflect the world we live in, but create it. As such her filmmaking is values-led, often exploring social justice issues with an intersectional gender lens, applying over a decade of experience in communications and gender equity to her work.
Her short films have screened at Academy Award Qualifying Film Festivals, been featured as part of the MIFF Accelerator Program and nominated by the Australian Directors Guild Awards. From 2017 – 2018, she directed ‘her words’ – an interview-based web series amplifying the voices of women with an intersectional lens, which released 50 episodes and together received over 220,000 views. ‘her words’ was awarded TOM Organic’s inaugural Female Empowerment Grant (2017) and Domini was recognised as one of the Foundation for Young Australians’ Young Social Pioneers (2016). Having worked across narrative, documentary, animation, music, education and content marketing, with the UN, MECCA, The Equality Institute and more, Domini’s work prioritises connection, courage and empathy, through a deep understanding of story, audience and impact.
Domini and Wildebeest’s short film, ‘Howl’, a queer coming-of- age drama located in the intense experience of being a teenage girl in a patriarchal world, is premiered at Berlinale 2025.
