Director
Jarred grew up in Melbourne and now resides on the Mornington Peninsula with his partner and two young daughters, splitting his time between family, time in the water, and directing. Inspired by seeing magic in the everyday and bringing relatability to the work he creates.
He believes film has the capacity to evoke powerful emotions, inspire social movements, or a long overdue phone call to mum. It can make people trust in love, quit their jobs or simply hit pause and take a moment to slow down. It’s why he directs. As a director, he knows he has the power to take an idea from concept to production. All the while asking, ‘how will this idea translate into a human response and action?’
Jarred has an instinct for honest, authentic storytelling, focussing on representing a true form of the world around us. He is currently developing a short film born from this impulse
He has travelled the world directing, working with big crews and small, always motivated to make the most out what is in front of him.
