“I’m so drawn to exploring seemingly small, but pivotal moments in someones life. Growing up is confusing, not just when you’re a kid, but your whole life I feel. We’re always evolving. Different things matter to us at different stages in life. We’re always a work in progress. I wanted to capture this sense in this film. You know, we can be carefree, but we all have things going on beneath the surface. I wanted to explore what love and friendship is. It’s all disorientating when we’re in it, and so I wanted to express that.
